Lancaster City Museum
We've had a few sunny days lately, and this is one of them. The stonework seems to glow in the right light.
This is the rear of the Lancaster City Museum, looking down Market Street.
The impressive City Museum is housed in Lancaster’s former town hall, sat right on the edge of the busy Market Square. The elegant Georgian building was built between 1781-3 to the designs of Major Thomas Jarrett and Thomas Harrison.
Note that this Major Jarrett was a little known Irish engineer. There is a current Major Thomas Jarrett is the US forces who teaches stoicism and resilience. Look him up if you are interested and especially if you face challenges that are hard to deal with.
