Moose Calf

A newborn moose calf can run faster than an adult human three days after birth, reaching 30 miles per hour and jumping eight to ten feet. They are also strong swimmers, capable of moving at ten miles per hour.

At birth, moose calves have poor eyesight but possess a strong sense of smell and hearing, which they use to navigate and avoid predators. While their vision improves slightly as they grow, they rely primarily on their other senses. Additionally, moose are color-blind due to a limited number of eye cone cells.
