Mr. Flicker
The plumage of male and female Northern Flickers is identical. Both of them have a U-shaped black patch on their breast feathers. Black bars are present on their wings, and they have black spots on their chest and belly. During a flight, there is a white patch located above the tail. The underside of their wings and tails has colored feathers, with yellow in the east and red in the west. The only noticeable difference is that the male has a ' mustache' or whisker on either side of its beak. This color is black in the east and red in the west. This facial marking is not present in females.
