The etched glass panels on the light fixture cast confusing, darkening shadows on the plain walls revealed when the wallpaper was stripped off. My aging eyes really need a whole new fixture that lights the space up better, but for now the instant red ribbon shade in the pics of the redone space dressed things up and made it look new.
