- This full stack, LAMP application provided the Security Ops Center and DNS team with a visual representation of DDoS attacks in real time.
- The back end PHP used the Arbor Networks Peakflow API, employed to watch the network for attacks, and an IP geolocation data file. The PHP also tapped into the Peakflow MySQL database to obtain additional attack details. Other proprietary sources were also queried to provide real time network data from network taps.
- The front end was written using the ExtJS JavaScript framework and employed the Google Maps API to display sources and targets of DDoS attacks.
- Map icons were clickable to display additional information.
- Menus provide access to associated data presented in tabular form.
- Frames could be disconnected from the main browser window as desired.
- All frames were continuously updated via AJAX calls which returned JSON data.
