Often when I subbed for one class at Vanessa's school, there was one girl who reminded me of her. That would be Dalia. She had a sassy bossiness to her coupled with a charm only evident in a 5-year-old Vanessa.

 

"Now read this book, Mr. S! You stay there, Miss Vanessa! We're not ready for you yet!"
