2024 Mono Awards. COMMENDED: Animals

I was fortunate to have recieved a commendation for this photo in the 2024 Aus+NZ Mono Awards.

 

As I was heading home from a fabulous morning at the Canberra Agricultural Show I took a shortcut around the back of the stables. I spotted this mare being washed and primped before the dressage competition.

 

As the handler switched off the hose and the last drips were falling from the horse's face and mane, it saw me watching her and we shared this moment.

 

I discovered later that her name is Rebelle and she went on to win the blue ribbon.
