"Sure, whatever. Any guns or loot worth taking here?"
"Well, no. But what it lacks in projectile weapons it makes up for in a vast treasure trove of nostalgia for the halcyon days of ancient travelers!"
"Uh-huh, thought so. I'll go ahead and head back to the ship."
"Come on, Lilith! Isn't it nice to be touring a desert locale without getting shot at by psychotic bandits or chewed on by giant monsters? Let's head inside, just for a little bit, please?"
"(sigh) I guess you've got a point there. We've traveled this far, anyway. Sure, why not?"
"Hooray, and I didn't even have to rush for cover this time!"
Taking some time away from their starship Sanctuary III, resident Siren and Vault Hunter Lilith travels with Claptrap - a fellow crewmember and the last surviving CL4P-TP general purpose robot in the galaxy - on a surprise visit to the deserts of Arizona on the planet Earth. Big and small stories of an ancient highway commonly known as Route 66 had unknowingly spread far beyond its origin planet, which compelled the curious-yet-cowardly Claptrap to explore the region. Knowing full well how much of an easy target the sometimes irksome robot has been on previous worlds, Lilith begrudgingly volunteered to accompany the adventurous machine to the planet's surface. As annoying as its demeanor can be, Lilith is often the first to admit how important Claptrap has proven to be in the survival of the Sanctuary III's crew, as well as their successes in several missions across the galaxy. She may ridicule the robot, but Claptrap is her target of mockery, and anyone else who would otherwise threaten it would have to go through her first, much to their immediate regret.
