Previously in August 2023 prior to Briggs Coaches Swansea closing they helped out South Wales Transport with vehicle shortage issues after two Yeutong TC12s (YD66 AYJ & YA66 JHL) were lost in a Fire at BP Rolls Newport whilst being repainted and YJ66 AOU being involved in a non-fault RTC this then lead to Briggs kindly allowing South Wales Transport to hire 3 vehicles 2 coaches and 1 service vehicle being XJI5455 Dennis Javelin, FB53 LWW Plaxton Profile bodied Dennis Javelin & OCZ 8830 Optare Solo. During this time the Optare was never used on public service & the 2 coaches where used as immediate spares which where almost constantly used due to the lack of vehicles able to cover the work. After Briggs ceased trading South Wales Transport also borrowed vehicles from Watkins Coaches (Plaxton Profile Dennis Javelin) ~ V90PMW & First Choice Llanelli (Volvo Caetano Levante) ~ FJ60 HYH
