Eastern Mudsnake

A beautiful individual found on a rocket run to coastal North Carolina back in September. This species is great at evading me despite how common they are.

 

Mudsnakes are extremely cryptic snakes that spent a majority of their life hidden underwater in various swamps, lakes, ponds, and creeks where they feed on various amphibians.

Done
