My first HDR
I thought I would explore a technique that is becoming increasingly popular amongst photographers, especially here on Flickr, sometimes with spectacular results: High Dynamic Range (or HDR) photography. This is my first (and only) attempt at this; I have much to learn but already I can see the usefulness of the technique (even without getting into the extreme psychedelic end of things). I've posted below the three bracketed shots that I used to produce the HDR photo above. Experts recommend using a tripod, but these were shot hand-held.
I will now take a pause from Flickr as Huguette and I are headed for Russia in a couple of days. We will be cruising the Imperial Waterways of Russia from Moscow to Saint Petersburg. See you all in a couple of weeks!
