Walks like a chicken, looks like a chicken, but it's not a chicken...

It's a Weka (Gallirallus australis), a flightless bird endemic to New Zealand (found only in NZ). They are curious and fearless birds, but not domesticated as it might appear in this photograph. They are often seen around houses and campgrounds in search of anything edible. Their conservation status is "vulnerable".
