Marlborough vineyards, near Blenheim, New Zealand
The trouble with going anywhere on a bus is that most of the time you have to content yourself with taking your pictures through a window of a moving bus. This is what happened here and for most of my other vineyard photos which, as a result, are mostly blurry. Anyway, it gives an idea of how lush these fields are.
We visited six vineyards in total including Hunter's, Drylands, Forrest, Mahi, and two others. On this tour, I learned to appreciate the unforgettable taste of Marlborough's Sauvignon Blanc, probably the most sought after New Zealand wine. It is excellent; and even if you're not a connoisseur, once you've tasted it, you will remember it. In fact, Oz Clarke, a well known British wine critic, once wrote that New Zealand's Sauvignon Blanc is "arguably the best in the world". I believe that!
