Just in time for a bite to eat!
After our exciting visit of the Moscow Metro we emerged from deep underground at Smolenskaya station on Arbat Street and we were a bit hungry. It was around 4:00pm, too early for dinner, but at a good time for a pause and a snack. And guess what?! This wonderful restaurant appeared like magic just in front of our eyes. The only problem was that Huguette hates MacDonald's! So, we continued on and soon found a nice little café – there are plenty of them on Arbat Street – where we each had a lovely cappuccino with pastries.
By the way, this is probably the best starting point – i.e. Lesson no.1 – to learn the Russian alphabet. All the letters are there (only the apostrophe is missing) and it's easy to see which Cyrillic letter corresponds to which Roman letter. A hint: the letters A, M and O are the same in both alphabets!
