Beti Jai es un testigo vivo del auge del juego de pelota vasca a finales del siglo XIX, cuando este deporte estaba de moda en Madrid. Los aficionados acudían a los partidos, los pelotaris gozaban de fama y dinero y los periodistas escribían las crónicas. En este contexto social se inauguró en 1.894 un nuevo frontón en la capital, bautizado en euskera Beti Jai, (Siempre Fiesta). Cerrado en 1.919 y utilizado para otras actividades entró en abandono y ruina absoluta.Recuperado y reformado desde 2.015, ha reabierto como espacio de visita.
Beti Jai is a living withness to the rise of the basque pelota game at the end of the 19th century, when the the sport was fashionable in Madrid. In this social context, a new pelota court was inaugurated in the capital in 1.894, christened Beti Jai in Basque language (Always a party). Closed in 1919 and used for other activities, it was abandoned and fell into absolute ruin. Recovered and reformed since 2.015 it has reopened as a visitor space.
