I somehow ended up working with this Hugh Rankin cover on a whim tonight after seeing his very rough illustration for H.P. Lovecraft's "The Call of Cthulu" in the February 1928 issue. His portfolio of Weird Tales cover are rough, but there is a certain quality about them...
