The first issue from December 1927 of a mystifying magazine out of Philadelphia edited by Walter Gibson of The Shadow fame featuring weird fiction and reportage on mystical phenomenon. Profusely illustrated as well as with many photos, the magazine would last five issues, and a later issue would publish a Howard Lovecraft story.
The scan of this magazine was performed with an overhead scanner, so there's a little curvature and distortion as well as lighting variation but surprising sharpness. The high end institutional overheads are getting better and better which is a splendid thing. I won't be trading my flatbeds in anytime soon, but an overhead is a perfect machine for special collections at a library.
