Paris Nights v11n12 (1933-07.Shade) cover Harry Moskovitz (Darwin UnEdit)

Harry Moskovitz, 1933.

He loves me, he loves me not.

Don't worry, Red, I loves ya.

From the fantastic and underappreciated Harry Shalom Moskovitz who did a great number of girlie pulp covers for the Shades out of Philly as well as some covers for C.H. Young. I haven't posted a single one yet here at Flickr, but I'll have to change that going forward, as I'd like to get a gallery together of his work as I scan through some cover to cover issues on the occasion I treat myself to a girlie pulp (my favorite magazines in the whole wide world if you haven't figured that out by now).

After WWII, Moskovitz would go on to work mainly as a portrait artist, drawing celebrities and the famous - including F.D.R., Harry Truman and Chaim Weizmann.
