Cover by Delos Palmer previously used on Star Detective December 1936. This is the last issue of the six issue run and the only one scanned so far. Starting with the next issue, it becomes Complete Detective Cases, a true crime magazine in a larger format (I scanned that issue, and it can be found here on my feed). Nice looking opening novel from Edward Aarons (Ed Ronns). A very tight attempting at branding here with the Red Circle pulps, the entire line of detective/weird menace books get plugged with contents of the issues on the newstand for each mag in individual ads as well as a group ad. Also an ad for a little comic with a special place in history that came out the same month, Marvel Comics number 1.
Thanks to Primetime from the CGC forums for getting me a photo of the inner front cover and to I.N.Cognito for some dewarping work in making it cohesive in the scan.
