Castle Gate Power Plant

Pacific Corp/Rocky Mountain Power 190MWe coal fired power generating facility burning Utah coal mined nearby in Eccles Canyon and other locations to generate power. Castle Gate ghost town, about 2 miles north of Helper Utah on the east bank of the Price River, Carbon County, Utah.

 

UPDATE: The plant was decommissioned April 16, 2015 and the site has since been environmentally mitigated.
