Round wooden log sections are used to demonstrate how cattle were once branded in the west.

It's Pioneer weekend here in Utah and a which is an official holiday celebrated on July 24. The holiday commemorates the arrival of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Parades, fireworks, rodeos, pioneer reenactments and other festivities help commemorate the event. Similar to Independence Day most governmental offices and many businesses are closed on Pioneer Day.

HAPPY PIONEER WEEKEND!
