Loki-Dart Sculpture
In Green River, Utah city park. This sculpture commemorates Green River's role in the early part of the space program when several missile systems were assembled and tested here. The Loki-dart system had to do with meteorology.
I love the missile on the right. When I first saw it I thought it was one of the missiles that failed to achieve orbit but it is actually a booster falling back to earth. The one in the middle is the whole package on it's way up and the one on the left is the payload going up. With the exception of the missiles themselves, the rest of the sculpture is made of re-bar.
