Le château d'Olemps
The Château d'Olemps was built at the end of the 16th century by Hugues Caulet, a resident of the town of Rodez who owned a mill at the Monastery and held several seigniories. The building is a fine example of the Louis XIII style of architecture, the most obvious characteristic of which is the interplay of polychromy: slate and red sandstone (instead of brick in the rest of the kingdom)
which contrasted with the limestone.
