Introduction
A variety of 35mm photos. As you can see, I primarily am interested in portraiture. In particular I have a fascination with documenting moments of juvenile hedonism, and I find much inspiration in the works of Larry Clark, Ray Billingham, and Ryan McGinley, amongst others who stepped outside of the box in terms of documenting the taboo, intimate, and uncomfortable parts of reality. I am also inspired by the lush Amish farmland and rural Americana of my hometown Reading, Pennsylvania. My other photographic focus is the phenomena of graffiti and it’s historic rudimentary predecessor: mark-making. I consider this latter focus to be non-artistic in nature, and purely an anthropological/documentarian pursuit. For practicality, my documentary work is now largely done on my iPhone, while things that I consider artistic pursuits are all shot on film, as I have come to prefer the medium of analog photography and actually sold all my digital equipment a few years ago!
