Autistic presenting people sometimes develop a special interest. Where they hyperfixate on subjects and hobbys becoming an expert in this subject. when in extreme stress or overwhelm they will shut down and retreat to these interest as a way of disconnection and coping.

 

One of my hyperfixations is Metaphysical Mythology, Tarot and Traditions.
