The dining room chairs, given to me by Vanessa and Becki MacD-H, had seen better days, however after the fabrication of new leg braces from bamboo kebab skewers and the prodigious application of superglue, I am very pleased with them.
I am also very pleased with the mirror-backed sideboard. My tactic has been to purchase a small number of high quality items, which effectively seems to raise the standard of everything else! In other words, the good bits take your eyes off the crappy bits!
