One Piece Odyssey has a lot of smart people behind it, starting with Eiichiro Oda. There is no surprise that Eiichiro Oda, along with the other developers at Bandai Namco, was involved in the growth of One Piece Odyssey. Eiichiro Oda wasn't the one who wrote the novel, and neither does the story tie directly to the manga. Oda helped not just with character and monster designs yet had a hand in directing the storyline for the game. It is further enhanced by the stunning music composed by Motoi Sakuraba, a composer well known for his various works for video games such as the Dark Souls and Tales of series.
The mere presence of Eiichiro Oda does not necessarily translate to a particular project being fully canon into the anime. Its international affiliates, Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe are respectively headquartered in Irvine, California, and Lyon, France It is a fully-owned affiliate of Bandai Namco Holdings, an entertainment group. If you enjoyed quality JRPG PS5 games, you should try One Piece Odyssey. Very happy to notice it scored well, however, as I am so behind with the anime in addition to the game doesn't always have English voices, I'll be looking forward to a sale of $20 within a couple of years.
