Did you know??

The menstrual cup was invented in 1932 by American actress and entrepreneur Leona Chalmers. Chalmers was searching for a more comfortable and practical alternative to the bulky and uncomfortable sanitary pads of the time. She developed a soft, flexible rubber cup that could be inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual flow.

The first menstrual cups were made of latex rubber and were reusable. In the 1950s, silicone cups were developed, which were more durable and could be sterilized by boiling. Today, there are many different brands and types of menstrual cups available, made from various materials and with different shapes and sizes to suit individual preferences.

Menstrual cups have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their eco-friendliness and cost-effectiveness. They are reusable and can last for several years, reducing the amount of waste produced by disposable menstrual products. They are also more affordable in the long term, as they do not need to be replaced as frequently as tampons or pads
