Vinyl Collection
Just going through my LP/album vinyl collection
My first purchase I think was back in 1976 (aged 15) when I bought Status Quo’s from my local record shop.
As you will see, I was into rock and heavy metal and, after listening to more albums I started going to concerts at the Apollo and Free Trade Hall in Manchester.
On the 29th May 1977 I went with two friends down to Bingley Hall to watch a ‘new’ popular band called Queen!
I saw AC/DC at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester on the 24th October 1977 (probably the loudest concert I ever went to, mid you I was about 3 rows from the front 😁)
Thin Lizzy at the Kings Hall, Belle Vue Manchester on the 18th June 1978
Other bands I was lucky enough to see were Rush, Judas Priest, Michael Schenker and Rainbow
I have some other LP’s and 12” singles that are not rock but that I enjoyed at the time.
there’s also a few of my late sisters LP’s from the Beatles etc
