Peaceful forest (IR 720nm mono)
Alright, that's it, the final part (20) of the "lost gorge series". It was a special moment, leaving the stream at this very place with the beautiful afternoon light in the forest after an adventurous day. I was not sure it will work at all, the ground was super soft and squishy, mossy, and the tripod picked up ever step I made beside it. Maybe again, the VC did actually help? Development was a challenge too, since the dynamic range is huge. By the way, this area is where the stream was flowing once, it's a dry river bed if you will, the ground is not super solid. The flood took this piece of forest completely away, everything, leaving a 5m pit over a larger space. The amount of material that got transported away in and after the storm is just mind-boggling. Anyway.
Could be another example where IR made a big difference, the vegetation in the shadow would have been super dark and blunt I think.
