Peyote flowering # 28
That is an older stack, pandemic times, one of my peyote buttons (lophophora williamsii) flowering, it was a bit tricky not blocking the light with the lens yet have it go inside the blossoms and cast a bit of a shadow. Also visible, the multicolor sparkle / relfection of the plant cells with natural light macros, less so with the petals, mainly the flesh of the cactus.
I like seeing my succulents and cacti flower, not only pretty, they are also telling me that they are doing ok.
Nikon D7200 (APS-C crop sensor)
Micro-NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 AI-S
(thus ~82mm full frame equivalent)
ISO100, 55mm, f/8, 1/125sec
reproduction ratio: ~ 1 : 2
tripod, focus rail, stacked (26imgs)
extension tubes, natural sunlight
