Legendary pine (720nm IR)
Alright, that's still location 2 at the alpine lake, and the most close-up framing I did with the tree as subject.
Nothing against false-color, but I really noticed the need to do this one in plain classic black & white, it felt appropriate in some way, imbued with the proper reverence.
Spent some time doing and choosing the best mono development.
The source for this is a 30 piece mercator projection, ~316,3MP, which I cropped to 8:5 with 9124 x 5703px and ~52MP.
Nikon D90 (APS-C, fullspectrum mod)
Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di ll VC HLD
Hoya R72 (720nm infrared pass-filter)
ISO200, 24mm, f/6.3, 0,4sec
(therefore 36mm full frame equivalent)
tripod, panorama head, remote (ML-L3)
