Light n shadow creek (720nm IR)

So, I think this will be the first of one of the "lost gorge series", the one that has been flooded and where I did a IR safari with the VR (Tamrons name for optical image stabilization) on + tripod.

Not sure why it sometimes kicked in and made everything blurry, and sometimes not. Any guesses?

I'm pleased with this one, and it's an uncommon development for this setup. The fern on the opposite side of the creek is scarce in this area, very thin and delicate, like feathers poking out of the ground, one can't even tell if they are waving in the breeze or just being thin.

Also surprised that I managed to not blow out the highlights, the trees and bushes are bathed in sunlight, abundantly distributing these lovely IR rays, the stream and myself were in the shadow.

Really peaceful actually, very quite, only the gentle sound of the water and above all, no people.

Source for this is a ~278,8MP mercator projection, consisting of 27 individual photos, cropped to 14765px² with 218MP. Due to the ² format and Flickr's 'best display size', this lends itself to zooming in. I recommend it.
