Epitome of ordinariness (fullspec)
So it is UV + visible light + IR, does it offer something in particular here? I don't think so! š
I am more surprised that there is not fringing around the branches and stuff, but there is none of it, perhaps due ot the monochrome / sepia development, so no channel swaps, yanking on levers and other stunts involved here.
Rather unintentional in terms of composition, since it was part of a test series, however, I ended up liking it. Kind of a non-traditional panorama, non-exciting; sloping meadow, trees, more trees, bland sky with just this one contrail. Some sad sh** actually, cause this is "winter"! š But also all sorts of lines, in the trees, shadows etc., actual and implied, and how much of freakin' forest does one need to the right? Reminds me a bit of the output of cameras like these Widelux, or XPan where one is stuck with this panoramic format no matter what. Sometimes it's great, sometimes not.
Technically, it's a 9 piece pano, cylindrical stitch, finished off with 14344 x 4272px, ~61,3MP.
Nikon D90 (APS-C / DX, fullspectrum mod)
Minolta MD ROKKOR 28mm f/2.8 prime
Fotodiox Pro MD - Nik adapter
ISO200, 28mm, f/8, 1/320sec (-0.3EV)
(therefore 42mm full frame equivalent)
manual focus, tripod, regular 3-way head,
no filters at all..
