Solitude (B&W infrared)
Longing for some solitude, absence of noise, less or no people? Chances are you gonna find it here somewhere. Wanna chat with the neighbours nonetheless? Grab you hiking boots..!
One can see the spot where I produced the panorama while hiking up, it's about behind the hardwood tree left of the little house. You can check it out here:

And here on the way back down again, a quick single row pano:

After I was done capturing the panorama I decided to turn around and walk back cause it was getting late and the weather unfolded in ways I was not too excited about! Nice to look at though. 📷
I resisted the temptation to go with the development that displayed the IR characteristics the strongest here. The meadow came out really bright even though it was all in the shadow, but it was kind of competing with the sky and everthing became a hyper-contrast-y mess.
So I hope the darker smoother landscape is less distracting and will provide the stage for the clouds and a balance overall.
The original consists of 36 individual photos, a trimmed mercator projection produced 20159 x 12577px ~253,5MP, which I then cropped to 8:5 aspect ratio and 9212 x 5758px = 53MP.
Nikon D90 (APS-C, fullspectrum mod)
Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di ll VC HLD
Hoya R72 (720nm infrared pass-filter)
ISO200, 24mm, f/6.3, 1sec
panorama head, tripod, remote
