Massive and Mysterious

I cannot count the number of times I've descended into the canyon at Smith Rock in Central Oregon, each time overawed by the massive vaults that seem to peer down at me. Rock climbers from all of the world ascend the wall and spires like miniature ants. For scale, the small rock in the open notch (Asterisk Rock) stand approximately 29-feet high.
