Wow here's something I've never seen before. Covered wagons on the Alton! Within two years the Alton would be absorbed by the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio.
The only information I could find on this photo is that it is from 1945, by the Minneapolis Tribune, and is in the public domain. Unfortunately I could not find a larger version of this photo.
