Nuclear Dawn by Olivia Devine
I chose this photo because looking at this mural made me truly feel the weight of being a global citizen. This photo was taken on a tour of Brixton in London, an area of the city that is incredibility diverse with its own unique influences and history. I loved this painting because it blended together different perspectives on the same issue in a way that I had never seen. The mural depicts Death reigning over a city as American and English politicians hide in a bunker. Inspired by the Cold War it was able to portray that for all of the grande scheming that takes place far away it is neighborhoods and areas like Brixton that suffer.
