"The Contract" part 1

Jack, a mercenary from Italy, had been hired to negotiate the purchase of a French salt cellar from the year 1550, and although it appears to be a common object, it has great archaeological and historical value for its buyer.

She was called to accompany Jack in the negotiation because of her reputation for "always making things work one way or another", that way she would ensure that everything went as requested by the contractor.

The recommendations were clear "No weapons" - said the contractor - "I've been doing business with them for years. They will try to intimidate you but that's part of the negotiations. Keep calm and bring what I asked for. No more dollars will be paid , so don't do anything wrong!".

It is not known why Jack decided to take Bob Wallen, a strange guy who thought he was a federal investigator, but was nothing more than a pickpocket on Fifth Avenue. She had warned that Bob shouldn't go but Jack ignored her.

The negotiator made a lame joke about Bob's tie (and he wasn't wrong, that guy was ridiculous). But the prank found a cocked gun and something went terribly wrong...
