Oriental lily macro

I set the camera to take 100 frames for this focus stack. Nikon makes the process fairly easy. I set the first focus point as close to the camera as possible, then I press the Start tab. The camera clicks away, taking a frame at further focus points at specified intervals. It is important to have the aperture set just right.

I then load them into Helicon Focus, which stacks the frames into one image. Further adjustments can fine tune the blending. It takes my laptop five minutes to process the 100 frames.
