Built by Andrew Barclay in 1911, (works number 1260) the loco first worked at Abercarn, South Wales, at the Newport Tinplate Company. Later, it moved to Ebbw Vale steel works, where it was eventually put on display. Astonishingly, Newport Council had to pay out in excess of £10,000 to repair the loco after vandalism.

Eventually the loco was donated to the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway in 2012, although it is yet to return to steam.
