FD vs SIP Kisme Zyada Fayda Hai?

There were times when FD gave good returns but as India progressed & other alternative investments saw a rise, the rates of FDs started to decline. Today bank FD gives somewhere around 4-5% returns while SIP gives an average estimated return of 12-18%.
