Late night snooping
Day 6/7 - August 25th - Day 6 - One more sleepless night before we go to Hogwarts!
Alex had never liked the night before a big event or celebration. His mind would simply refuse to let him sleep. Christmas Eve, the night before the Quiddich World Cup or his birthday.
Tonight was no different. Alex would be heading off to London tomorrow to catch his train and return to magical world of Hogwarts!
He had already laid in bed, restlessly turning for the past two hours and getting increasingly more aggetated as the night grew on. Wrestling with his pillow and duvet, Alex jumped out of bed and pulled on his Ravenclaw dressing robe and quietly snook down the cold marble steps of his Grandparent's house.
"Lumos" he whispered flicking his wand forward, as a soft white hum of light flickered from his wand tip and illuminated the hallway.
Alex crept past his Grandfather's office and with a mischevious grin, he stopped and turned his head to it's door lock. He hadn't snook into his Grandfather's office in over a year, and there was bound to be loads more in his collection by now. Slowly Alex turned his wand and said "Alohomora" as quietly as he could. In a successful fist pump, the lock had clicked out of it's chamber and Alex quietly pushed his way inside.
The room was dark and eerie, as the light from his wand flooded the room, Alex first noticed an open book perched atop the table. "He makes it too easy." He murmured to himself. Moving his wand closer to it's pages he began to read...
