carb spacer on dual plane manifold

One of the most common modifications to a car is adding a carb spacer on the dual plane manifold. This modification allows the carburetor to be mounted closer to the engine, which in turn gives more power and better throttle response. While there are plenty of tutorials out there for how to install a carb spacer, we decided to put together our own guide for our readers. Carb spacer on dual plane manifold Many aftermarket exhaust systems come with a header that mounts the carbs close to the cylinder heads. While this is good for performance and looks, it can cause airflow problems at the carbs if the headers aren't cut perfectly or if there are turns in the exhaust piping before the carb spacers are attached.
