What Happens at an Immigration Medical Exam in NZ

Immigration medical exams are necessary to determine if you can live and work permanently in New Zealand. If you're coming from abroad, this includes a chest x-ray. You'll need to make an appointment with one of the Immigration Medical Examiners (IME) listed below . You'll have to fill out a form that will ask for your personal information and list any medical conditions you may have. Once your immigration medical exam is completed, the IME will issue you with a letter stating whether or not they believe you will be able to stay in New Zealand without becoming too sick or suffering harm due to their condition.
