A Familiar?
Entry #8
I understand that it's commonly believed that only witches possess familiars, but I'm convinced that this newfound furry companion of mine is a familiar soul I've encountered in a previous life, now returned as my guardian. So maybe we Fae's can have them too... I'll have to check in with Mother Gaia.
Our first encounter was serendipitous. I was relentlessly pursuing something that was using rogue magic and evaded capture, utterly drained and near the point of exhaustion. My wings struggled to carry me, and I sought respite against what appeared to be the grandest tree within the forest. I wearily turned my head to the left, my eyes heavy with fatigue, and there she sat, gazing at me with those captivating, oversized emerald eyes. Her tail quivered with anticipation as she approached, brushing gently against my face and nuzzling me. A message permeated my thoughts, which read, "Cease your pursuit, take a breath, and rest." I drifted into slumber, and she faithfully remained by my side, a steadfast presence ever since.
Her name is Ophelia.
