Caritas Kyiv for many Kyiv residents and internally displaced persons became like a second home after the full-scale attack of Russia, where every family can count on proper support and assistance.
Mother Veronika with her 7-year-old daughter Kira and 5-year-old son Renat turned to Caritas Kyiv for help in the spring of 2022. First, the family received a humanitarian kit from the foundation, and later Kira began to attend classes at the Children's Center.
The girl is fond of drawing and origami. Social teachers of the Caritas Children's Center are happy to support and help in the development of creative abilities of talented children. The lessons take into account not only the age category of the child, but also his creative preferences. After the lessons, kids always enthusiastically tell adults about the interesting things that teachers do in the classroom.
- "There was not a single day that Kira missed a lesson, - says Veronika, the girl's mother, - For my child Caritas Kyiv has become the place where she met new friends, develops as a person and just gets positive emotions. In such a difficult period for the country it is very important that our children can find an island of joy and peace, feel like children and continue to dream. Caritas Kyiv does everything necessary for this and we are sincerely grateful to all the employees of the Foundation for this opportunity.
In addition, Caritas Kyiv Charitable Foundation supported the family with financial assistance for Kira's treatment. Part of the money from the fund was provided for the child's surgery, which was done in the summer.
The girl is in no way upset because soon everything will be fine.
Full of childish enthusiasm and irrepressible energy, Kira overcomes difficult obstacles in her life.
There are still many obstacles to overcome on her way, but she will bravely manage to pass difficult tests because little Ukrainians are a symbol of the invincibility of the Ukrainian spirit and freedom.
- Ukraine is my country, - Kira proudly says, - I am proud to be born in Ukraine...
This nation will never be defeated. In their native country, on their land, every family has the right to a happy future for their children. And soon it will definitely come.
