"Stegelkes" or turnstiles are typical objects in the Limburg countryside. Made of iron (like this one) or wood, they give access to the many fields and paths crossing the hills of the South-Eastern part of the Netherlands. Squeaking when you turn them, they are definitely part of the memories of the tourists and hikers who spend their holidays here.
