Statue of Khaemwaset Holding a Figure of Ptah

Khaemwaset, Ramses' son by his second Great Wife, Isitnofret, was Crown Prince and High Priest of Ptah - he is shown here holding the god's shrine. Had he outlived Ramses, Khaemwaset would have become pharaoh. Celebrated for his wisdom and for restoring Old Kingdom pyramids and temples, Khaemwaset was revered long after his death.
