Yoga for Mankind 2022

Yoga is a priceless gift from ancient India to the rest of the world. In the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested International Yoga Day (United Nations General Assembly). Since then, the day has gained worldwide recognition, and it is now known as International Yoga Day.

Yoga is for everyone and has no religious or political affiliations. Yoga is a discipline that can help you stay fit and treat any long-term condition. It is entirely spiritual. The current year's subject is "Yoga for mankind" which is themed to demonstrate how, during the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic, yoga aided mankind in lowering pain, improving post-COVID recovery from disease, strengthening immunity, and resulting in rapid healing.

Developing an International Concept, 177 countries supported India's proposed resolution on International Yoga Day, It was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech at the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations recognized June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.

On June 21, 2015, the inaugural International Yoga Day was celebrated.
